Former Portadown Lidl store on market for £650,000

A former Lidl store in Portadown has gone on the market for offers over £650,000.

The Armagh Road premises was closed down earlier this month with staff and business operations relocated to the High Street Mall in the town centre.

Lidl opened to much fanfare as the shopping centre’s anchor tenant – part of a major £4million facelift.

The store was officially opened on Thursday, June 3, coinciding with the closure of the unit now on the market.

Property agents Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) have been tasked with finding a buyer to bring the site and vacant store back into productive use as quickly as possible.

The 13,500 sq. ft site has 80 car parking spaces and servicing facilities and “should be capable of immediate occupation following Lidl’s relocation”.

LSH say the premises are also suitable for showroom, health and beauty and medical uses, subject to any necessary planning consent.
