A Portadown man with a history of drugs offences including a previous suspended sentence will have to wait until the New Year before he will know his fate.
Court heard that a suspended sentence the 35-year-old was handed in June 2018 had expired by just a few months by the time of this offence.
Charles Joseph McShane, of Churchill Park, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
The particulars of the case are that on November 1 the defendant was found in possession of cocaine.
Defence solicitor Kevin McCamley stated: “If your worship sees his record you may wish to have a presentence report prepared.”
Deputy District Judge Philip Mateer commented: “In June ’18 he was handed a suspended sentence. This had expired by November 2019 but he does have a history of these types of offences.”
The case was adjourned until January 17 for sentencing.
