Police in the South Armagh area are continuing to deal with the report of a device on the Blaney Road, Crossmaglen, in which a member of the public was injured.
A cordon has now been implemented resulting in the Blaney Road being closed from the junction of Loughross Road to the border. Croliss Road is also closed for 200 metres from its junction with the Blaney Road.
It is anticipated that the roads will remain closed for a number of hours and police are asking that the public avoid the area where possible. Inspector Lorraine Dobson said: “Police are working to deal with the risk to the public whilst minimising disruption where possible and are grateful for the continued co-operation of the public.”
