The family of Ronan Clarke have thanked everyone for their support as the Pearse Og player remains in hospital after sustaining a serious head injury.
Ronan’s sister, Sinead Curry, spoke this evening on behalf of the family of the former Armagh GAA All-Ireland winner.
“We as a family along with Ronan’s wife Michelle would like to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers.
“Ronan is still in intensive care but is making progress and being extremely well looked after.
“We have been overwhelmed by the amount of support we have received and can’t thank you all enough.”
Ronan is expected to undergo tests in the coming days.
He collapsed a short time after playing for his Pearse Og side in a championship match against Maghery.
He had collided with a post during the game and was later rushed to Craigavon Area Hospital.
This morning Pearse Og said the 32-year-old has been making “slow but steady progress”.
