Police in Portadown this morning (Tuesday) issued an appeal for information following a sexual assault in the grounds of Craigavon Area Hospital.
Shortly before 8pm on Wednesday, January 8, a 33-year-old woman was walking from a car park near the mortuary, towards a side entrance, past a cherry picker when she became aware of two males.
One of the males was in front of her and the second was behind her. The male in front did not approach her but remained there while the second male approached and sexually assaulted her.
The first male is described as being foreign, possibly Eastern European, 30 to 40 years old, approximately 5ft 5in or 6in tall with a shaven head. He was wearing a hoody or jacket that was red or a similar colour.
The second male is described as being foreign, possibly Eastern European, 30 to 40 years old, approximately 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with dark, short hair and swarthy skin. He was wearing a dark, waist length jacket with a zip on front and poppers/buttons at the wrists. He spoke in broken English.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or observed the two males in the vicinity of the hospital prior to or after the incident to contact them
