Permission has been granted for the erection of a major housing development in Scarva.
Proposals by Joan Baird have now been approved which would see a total of 37 homes constructed on “lands to the south and east of Glenloughan Park and lands to the south of Scarvagh Heights” on what is listed as a “greenfield site”.

The 37 homes will be comprised of 35 three-bedroom properties and two four-bedroom houses, with 28 of the homes being semi-detached and nine detached.
The proposals also include an area of public open space, as well as landscaping, vehicle access and “associated development”.
A total of 96 parking spaces will also be provided to service the needs of future tenants of the new houses.
Outline planning permission for the development was granted in 2018 and approval as now been granted by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon District Council.
Planned works are now contingent on an Archaeological Programme of Works (POW) whereby a final archaeological report shall be submitted to Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council within 12 months of the completion of archaeological site works.
