Plans are in the pipeline to build two new shops in Tandragee.
Proposals for the new commercial units – each of which would include a mezzanine storage level – have been lodged with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
The application has been submitted by Brian Jones, from Scarva.
The proposal is to build two new shops “adjacent and to the rear of 48 & 50 Market Street”.
The area at present is described as “vacant land”.
It is not known at this stage of any intended tenants but the development would be expected to create a number of jobs, both during construction and when up and running.
The new shops would be serviced by a total of eight parking spaces.
The application also includes associated siteworks.
There would be a vehicle access available from Madden Road, while a pedestrian access would be opened onto Market Street.
The proposals will now be advertised shortly with a decision expected in due course.
