Lurgan Neighbourhood Policing Team have charged a 19-year-old man with a number of offences following burglaries in the Waringstown area during August and September last year.
He was charged with five offences of burglary to appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on January 21.
The charges relate to burglaries at four business premises on Terrace View, Waringstown, between August 14 and 23, and a burglary at a church on Mill Hill, Waringstown, between September 9/10.
As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
Constable Michael Allen said: “Burglaries can be devastating for small businesses and the communities that they provide for. As neighbourhood officers we are aware of the effect crime like this can have and we did our utmost to conduct a thorough and robust investigation.
“We hope these charges send a clear message to criminals that there is no hiding place and that crime will not be tolerated in our community.”
