THIEVES who broke into a house in Portadown stole a large decorative Coke bottle which contained cash which had been raised for charity.
The culprits also fled with a quantity of Asian-style jewellery when they broke into the Bleary Road property sometime between 1pm and 3pm yesterday (Tuesday).
Police said the rings, necklaces, earrings and bangles were of “great sentimental value” to the owners, whose house was ransacked during the burglary.
A silver or blue vehicle – thought to be an Audi – had been spotted in the area recently and anyone with information has been asked to get in touch with the PSNI.
