Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing overnight with a warning issued for ice.
Driving conditions could be hazardous in some areas and motorists are advised to use extreme caution.
According to Transport NI, gritting is taking place on main roads at present.
But there is the potential that rain could wash off salt and lead to icy patches.
There is also the potential for wintry showers in the coming days and further drops in temperatures later in the week.
