TV Presenter Gethin Jones has given his backing to Armagh Men’s Shed in order to help it win in the National Lottery Awards 2015.
The former Blue Peter presenter said: “Armagh Men’s Shed needs your support; help it win.
“The project, which provides a friendly open and safe environment for men to socialise, share and learn new skills, and work together projects while improving their health and wellbeing, is up against six other finalists from around the UK for Best Health project.
“It is the only entrant from Northern Ireland in this category competing for a £2,000 prize and the chance to feature on a BBC One show in September.”
The National Lottery Awards celebrate and recognise the inspirational and life-changing impact of National Lottery funded projects.
Each week National Lottery players raise more than £34 million for arts, sport, heritage and community projects across the UK.
