A female motorist got a nasty shock when she returned to her car in Scarva to find her handbag and purse had been stolen.
And police in Banbridge are appealing for information after the theft, which happened in Scarva Park.
It was last Thursday, 10 September, that a white Vauxhall Corsa was broken into sometime between 1.15pm and 1.50pm and the tan coloured handbag and purse were taken.
Constable Forster said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the bag and purse being stolen or anyone who has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 535 100915.
“We would also remind car owners to ensure their vehicles are locked, with all windows secured and all valuables removed from sight when they leave their car unattended.”
