Hailing from Belfast, Scott Flanigan is one of the foremost keyboard players on the Irish jazz scene.
Along with having recently obtained a Ph.D. in Jazz Performance, Scott has been at the forefront of Irish Jazz for close to 20 years. His complete mastery of the instrument and jazz contacts book are just two of the reasons why week after week Scott’s Jazz Club in Belfast lays host to a revolving cast of world-class musicians.
He performs regularly across the United Kingdom, Ireland and Europe, and has recently collaborated with Van Morrison, the Ulster Orchestra, Rob Luft, Jim Mullen and Linley Hamilton.
As a leader, Scott successfully tours his own contemporary piano trio, as well as a hard-swinging organ quartet. He also runs the successful Scott’s Jazz Club in East Belfast, a weekly jazz club bringing the best in Irish jazz to local audiences.
This evening’s performance will feature guitarist Ant Law, Dave Redmond on bass and Kevin Brady on drums.
