AS part of Climate Week 2013, the Environmental Health Department at Armagh City and District Council is organising ‘The Shambles Swap’ on Saturday, March 2, at the Shambles Market, from 8am to 1pm.
This is a one-off opportunity to swap unwanted items such as clothes, books, DVDs and more!
Normally many of these items would end up in landfill sites. Recycling these items through the ‘Swap Shop’ instead of disposing of them will have a small but positive effect on the environment and climate. This small effect is being replicated at almost 3000 venues over the United Kingdom, between March 4 and 1o, and it is hoped that these combined effect will help make a difference to the environment!
If you would like to participate – it couldn’t be easier! All you have to do is turn up at the next car boot sale on Saturday, March 2.
You can decide either to sell or swap, or both! And, if you are going to swap, you will be provided with a sign that you can display. If you do bring along items for swapping, they should be in working order and able to be re-used by someone else.
The fee for trading will be as normal – cars £6 and van or car and trailer, £11.
