‘Captivating’ modern classics on show with March Movies at the Market Place

Come along to The Market Place this March for a captivating cinema experience! Where they have curated an extensive programme of modern classics to cater to all tastes.

Here is just a small sample of what’s have coming up…

La Syndicaliste (2022)

The true story of Maureen Kearney, Irish trade union representative-turned-whistleblower of a French multinational nuclear powerhouse. After denouncing top-secret deals that shook the sector, Kearney’s life is suddenly turned upside-down when she is violently assaulted in her own house.

The investigation is carried out under pressure, but new elements create doubt in the minds of the investigators. At first a victim, Maureen becomes a suspect.

In French with English subtitles.

Dementia friendly screening of Belfast (2021)

Buddy’s family lives in a largely Protestant district with a few Catholic families, but one day his community and everything he thought he understood about life is suddenly turned upside down. Buddy’s family gets caught in the mayhem and must decide to stay or leave the only place they have ever called home.

Our dementia friendly screenings are open to all, but have been tailored with care and attention to be accessible for people living with dementia.
