Christmas celebrations continue at the Market Place

The Market Place Theatre in Armagh is continuing the festive celebrations with musical delights from guitarist Clive Barnes and Armagh’s own Christmas favourites Cantilena.

Clive Barnes is a guitarist, singer and songwriter of rare quality. He has released four studio albums to date the latest of which ‘The Ghost Country’ garnered rave four and five star reviews. Clive toured consistently throughout the US and Europe as a solo act and also as lap steel guitarist with the likes of Eric Bibb, Joe Cocker and Taj Mahal. Clive has toured as opening act with Jeff Beck, Alison Krauss, Gary Clark Jr, David Crosby, Dr. John, Greg Allman, Solomon Burke, The Blind Boys Of Alabama, Seasick Steve, Rodrigo Y Gabriela  and many more.theatre clive

Clive is currently recording his new album ‘Get Low’. Clive Barnes will perform on Saturday 12th December at 8pm. Tickets are priced £11 each.

We all dream of a White Christmas and Happy Holidays so Armagh’s sensational a cappella group ‘Cantilena’ pour some festive spirit into our Christmas Celebrations as they ring in the festive season in their own inimitable a cappella style. This evening of well-known traditional carols and popular Christmas songs, accompanied by the festive atmosphere, mulled wine and mince pies, will definitely put a Christmassy glow in your cheeks.

Early booking is strongly recommended for this ever-popular show that welcomes the holidays in true festive style. ‘White Christmas With Cantilena’ will be staged on Wednesday 16th December at 8pm. Tickets are priced £18 and £16, and the ticket price includes a glass of mulled wine and mince pie.
