For Spooktacular fun this half-term join Arrmaggh Planetscarium

Over the Halloween Half-Term Armagh Planetarium will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm with a range of dome theatre shows, rocket launching (weather permitting), spooky trails and arts and crafts as well as a range of daily events.

We have a brand-new dome show “Spooky Space” playing at 12noon and 4pm daily. Come and meet the monsters in space, if you dare: Black holes, zombie stars, and spectacular ghostly nebulae!

During the half-term holidays, we have a bumper event programme. Monday 28 Oct book your toddlers in for Wee Wonders and party with glow sticks. If you would like to attend our Forensic Science Detective Workshop run by STEMAware or perhaps a tour of the Observatory building is of interest, then book in on Tuesday 29 Oct.

On Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 we have Scientific Sue with her amazing “Potions and Explosions” live science show. This is one not to be missed with lots of mess, explosions and fun guaranteed for all the family.

On Friday 1 November join us in the evening for the Adult Takeover from 6.30pm when Scientific Sue will be entertaining with her adult 18+ Science show.

The performance will include dangerous dinner table tricks, sticky biology, explosive chemistry and dare-devil physics demos and plenty of innuendo for fun loving grown-ups; and, as always, Sue will be needing the help of brave volunteers from the audience.

You can also grab a drink, get a Moon Greenscreen photo and enjoy music in the dome theatre that evening as well. This is an evening with a difference and certainly one not to miss so get your friends together and book your tickets before they sell out! Strictly Over 18 Only.

To end our half-term extravaganza, we welcome Kyle Riley with “Little Folk” on Saturday 2 November. In a fun-filled hour Kyle will leads the children (and their adults) through a variety of music that gets them singing, jumping and shaking.
