Hilarous farce ‘No Hope Here’ at The Market Place

ENTERTAINMENT FOR YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE AT THE MARKET PLACE

The Market Place Theatre in Armagh is set to host delightful entertainment to thrill the younger members of its audience, and superb local comedy to keep the adults happy too!

Riverbank Productions proudly present the classic tale about the puppet who wanted to become a real boy. Gepetto decides to make a marionette from a magical piece of wood. To his dismay, Pinocchio turns out to be a mischievous, naughty puppet, easily distracted by a Fox and the Cat and soon forgetting the Blue Haired Fairy’s good advice. Will he achieve his greatest wish to become a real boy? With four versatile actors, puppets, catchy original music and lots of joining in, this show is guaranteed to please all children aged 4-9. Pinocchio will take place on Tuesday 16th April at 7pm. Tickets are priced £6.50 each.

Belvoir Players, one of Northern Ireland’s leading amateur companies, present a hilarious farce written by local author Vivian Brennan. Through mis-using Housing Executive Improvement Grants, Rab Devlin, a streetwise householder on the peace-line, fears detection. He hatches a plan to claim intimidation and thus avoid paying back the grant money and going to jail. Loyalists, the Republicans and the RUC, who are all keen to keep their PR in good order, decide to protect him unto death. This show provides a lighted-hearted look at NI people who know how to laugh at themselves. ‘No Hope Here’ will be staged on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th April at 8pm. Tickets are priced £11 and £9 (concession). Tickets for all performances can be booked by contacting the Box Office on [028] 3752 1821, or online at www.marketplacearmagh.com
