Aonach Mhacha and CAIRDE Teo, the Irish language cooperative partnership based in Armagh City, has launched a packed online programme of events for ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge 2022’.
This year’s programme has everything, from a headline concert by the enchanting Clann Mhic Ruairí as Rann na Feirste in Co Donegal, a family trip to EPIC in Dublin, a keynote address by Dr Ian Malcolm, a book launch, an intensive Irish Language course, a Sets Céilí on Patrick’s Day, and much more!!
Seachtain na Gaeilge [Irish Language Week], or ‘SnaG’ as it is now popularly known, is a growing international festival, catering for people with a passion for the Irish language from across the world.
This year, as always, the Festival will run from March 1-17.
The Festival seeks to celebrate and promote the Irish language during this period through various schemes and activities delivered by and within the wider community.
You don’t need to be fluent to join in the fun as there are events for every level of competency. However, we do encourage you to use whatever Irish words and phrases you have. Beatha teanga í a labhairt! Bígí páirteach agus labhraígí bhur dteanga dhúchais linn!
