Advent Event: Armagh Cathedrals’ Partnership
Armagh Cathedrals’ Partnership present an enjoyable evening of music, poetry and readings has been planned.
The guest speaker is Alan McBride, coordinator of The Wave Trauma Centre, who has been engaged in peace-building for the past 30 years.
Alan, who lost his wife and father-in-law in the Shankill Bombing 30 years ago, will speak on how his life experiences have impacted on his faith.

Cantilena at Christmas
Seasonal favourites Cantilena return to The Market Place Theatre with a show that is guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit.
The group will perform seasonal classics, both sacred and secular, old and new, in their typical close harmony style. There will also be solos and duets with some informal chat, Christmas stories and poems, all around the Christmas tree.
A truly magical mix of popular festive carols and songs, served up in the splendid surroundings of The Market Place Theatre dressed for Christmas, along with seasonal refreshments included in the ticket price, promises an evening to remember as we ring in this very special time of year.

Christmas Country Showtime
Christmas Country Showtime makes a welcome return to The Market Place. This brand-new show will feature a little showband nostalgia with Ireland’s favourite showband stars, Keith and Lorraine McDonald, who will treat you to some of the many big hits right through the showband era.
Joining them will be another showband legend, Dave Lalor who will belt out his hits including ‘Showband Nostalgia’ to clearly let you see why this music was so popular with fans everywhere! Add the one and only John Glenn from the famous Mainliners to the above list and the Market Place theatre fans will go wild!
But there’s more thanks to the great country voice of Joe Moore. We also have glamour with Stacey Breen, who is taking the country scene by storm, on her way to the very top! Terry Cowan, one of Ireland’s finest balladeer’s who joined us last year, returns to invite you all to join him and sing those favourite ballads that have stood the test of time.

The Legend Of Luke Kelly – Dubliner
This highly acclaimed tribute to the iconic Luke Kelly of The Dubliners returns to Armagh for what promises to be another memorable performance. Featuring the acclaimed vocals of arguably one of Ireland’s finest ballad voices of today, Chris Kavanagh, this performance will take the audience on a journey through the numerous hit songs and music of the legendary Luke Kelly of The Dubliners.
Having already toured Ireland, mainland Europe and Australia, this is a folk and ballad concert not to be missed. Accompanied by some of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians, lead singer Chris Kavanagh’s singing talent captures the depth and passion of this folk legend. So much so that Chris was invited to tour with The Dubliners on their final European tour, where he received rave reviews across mainland Europe.
