ROCK and metal fans will be in their element this Saturday, November 2, when an all day takes place in an Armagh bar.
Twelve hours of the best of local rock and metal acts will play sets at the Gaslamp Bar at Thomas Street, in what will be the forerunner to a full three-day festival next year.
Getting underway at 1.05pm, the event has been branded under the name ‘Armaghgeddon’.
Acts lined up to appear include Rapunzel, Kashis, Serpent, Donum Dei, Nocturnal Trip, Sentinel, Elevation Falls, Lucid Nightmare, Astralnaut and Supernaut.
Organisers are planning to extend the event to a three-day festival across different venues in 2014 and will be asking Armagh City and District Council to come on board, similar to its already hugely popular 7Hills Bluesfest.
For now an invitation is extended to all rock and metal followers to come along to the Gaslamp for this totally free, not-for-profit celebration of all that is good about the local music scene.
