Up to £5,000 funding available to Co Armagh communities with Live Here Love Here

Applications are now open for Live Here Love Here’s Small Grants Scheme, where communities in Co Armagh can benefit from up to £5,000 of funding to improve their local area.

The Small Grants Scheme, which is now in its fifth year, is spearheaded by environmental charity Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful’s Live Here Love Here Programme and supported by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, in addition to nine of the other local councils, Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Choice Housing and McDonald’s.

Grants are available from £500 to £5,000 and are open to volunteer and community groups, all school and third level education organisations, youth groups and sports clubs undertaking community based environmental projects to promote civic pride across Northern Ireland.

After a series of information sessions which took place across the province in March and April – applications are now being received until 28th May.

Jodie McAneaney, Live Here Love Here Manager said, “We’re delighted to be bringing back our Small Grants Scheme and to be in a position to offer valuable funding to communities across Northern Ireland.

“We work with a lot of fantastic groups and schools and are aware of some of the wonderful and inspiring projects they are involved in which aim to reduce littering and dog fouling, improve the local environment and enhance or attract tourism. We want to hear from all those groups who are dedicated to doing this.

“We would urge all community groups, schools, youth and sports groups to apply to avail of funding to help bring their projects to life and benefit their local community.”

The deadline for entries is Monday 28th May. Groups can apply online at www.liveherelovehere.org or you can request an application form at enquiries@liveherelovehere.org.
