It has been a pleasant Boxing Day (St Stephen’s Day) – perfect weather for walking off the excesses of Christmas Day, but that’s set to change overnight.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning fro wind and rain, coming into effect from 2am. It will remain in place until 10am on Wednesday morning.
Armagh – as well as the rest of Northern Ireland – will be affected by winds in excess of 45mph.
Gusts of 40-45 mph are expected widely inland with 50-60 mph over hills and around coasts.
One saving grace will be the relatively mild 12 degree temperature on Wednesday before the mercury levels drop again to around 7 degrees heading into the weekend.
The weekend, leading into the New Year, looks relatively settled with some small spells of rain.
