The funeral of a Donaghcloney woman tragically killed in a road traffic collision in New Zealand earlier this month will take place on Monday.
Kirsty Moffett passed away following a two-vehicle crash in the small town of Roxburg on December 13.
The 28-year-old had been working as a physiotherapist at Dunedin Hospital on South Island, where she moved two years ago.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust has helped return Ms Moffett’s remains home to her family in The Poplars, Donaghcloney.
Ms Moffett, a former pupil of Banbridge High School and Banbridge Academy, was the cherished daughter of Sam and Hazel and beloved sister of Lauren, Natasha and Nathan.
Her funeral service will take place in Waringstown Presbyterian Church on Monday (December 28) at 12.00 noon followed by committal in the adjoining burying ground.
Due to current restrictions this service will be strictly private.
Those wishing to pay their respects can do so as Kirsty’s remains leave the family home at 11.30am making our way through the Main Street in Donaghcloney and also in Waringstown (Main Street turning right onto the Mill Hill).
Please abide by social distancing regulations, wearing face coverings. A service of worship, giving thanks for Kirsty’s life will be live streamed from Waringstown Presbyterian Church at 6.30pm on Monday evening.

Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph following the tragedy, Ms Moffett’s uncle, Rev Adrian Moffett, said: “Our family will remember Kirsty as a girl who was selfless, always thinking of others and who had a heart for everyone. She was smart, funny and always adventurous.”
Ms Moffett was a gifted runner and was deeply involved in the community, both in New Zealand and when she was living back at home.
Rev Moffett added: “This is a very painful time for her parents, who are numb right now, but we are a large and close family who are giving them as much support as we can.”
