A Co Armagh pipe band is playing a special music tribute to celebrate the work of the NHS.
Bessbrook Crimson Arrow will be leading a special tribute at Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry.
Each Thursday night at 8pm, people all over the country come out to ‘Clap for our Carers’ and ‘Play for our NHS’ in recognition of all that they do to help protect communities and save lives while putting themselves at risk.
This Thursday, April 23, six pipers from the award-winning Bessbrook band will pipe at Daisy Hill to “salute our local heroes”.
They will perform outside Daisy Hall, playing two very appropriate arrangements – Amazing Grace and Everyday Heroes.
A spokesperson for the band said: “Bessbrook Crimson Arrow Pipe Band wishes to convey its appreciation of the extraordinary work being carried out by the NHS, all those who work in social care, to all key workers and to everyone supporting our communities in these challenging times.”
The tribute has been arranged with the agreement of the management of Daisy Hill Hospital.
