Constable McCullough, Armagh Response, said: “The help of the public is vital in helping us prevent and detect these crimes. We are conducting patrols however we cannot be everywhere all of the time and we need the public to report any type of activity which looks suspicious or out of place as soon as they see it happen. When we receive reports of suspicious activity we can respond and get to that area as quickly as possible with a much better chance of preventing crime or finding the person responsible.
“It is also important that motorists remember to secure their vehicle and remove any valuables from sight. By taking simple precautions you can reduce your chances of becoming a victim of crime.”
