A Magheralin man who made threats to kill a female and damaged a vehicle belonging to another will have to wait until next month to learn his fate.
The 30-year-old’s barrister told court: “There is a significant record but there has been a significant gap in offending.”
Patrick Joseph Sheppard, of Malcolmson Park, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, disorderly behaviour, resisting police and threats to kill at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday.
As the charges were read out, court heard the offences occurred on September 10 of this year.
The disorderly behaviour was in Bluestone Hall, Craigavon, with damage being caused to a vehicle and a plant pot belonging to a female.
Sheppard also made threats to kill another female.
Standing in the dock, the defendant elected to be dealt with in the Magistrates’ Court and entered a plea of guilty.
District Judge Mark McGarrity referred to whether a presentence report would be required in the case.
Defence barrister Ciara Ennis stated: “Yes, there is a significant record but there has been a significant gap in offending.
“I would ask the prosecution to obtain a cost for the damages as the defendant would like to make reparations.”
The case was adjourned until December 4 for sentencing.
