The brothers of Natalie McNally, who walked from Craigavon to Croke Park, have raised over £30,000 in her memory.
Niall and Declan McNally made the 83-mile journey on foot in time to watch their – and Natalie’s – beloved Armagh win the All-Ireland title on Sunday.
Their journey began on Wednesday from the South Lake Leisure Centre and ended in front of the Hogan Stand shortly before throw-in on Sunday.
The pair were given a hero’s welcome by fans and dignitaries, including the current GAA President – and proud Armagh man – Jarlath Burns.
And it ended just as they’d hope – with Aidan Forker hoisting the Sam Maguire high up into the air to mark an end to a truly incredible week for the McNally family.
“What a perfect way to end a perfect week,” Niall wrote on social media.
“Never did I imagine we would reach this total. I loved every minute of the journey. Thanks for all the support on the way.
“Anyone know where to get a mobility scooter?”
To date, their total stands at £30,360 with money being split between the Care for Caolan fund and Women’s Aid. You can continue to donate using this link.
