
Three people arrested after a violent clash in Dungannon which left four people in hospital – including a woman stabbed in the head with a screwdriver – have been released on bail.
The incident broke out in the Oaks Avenue area of the town on Sunday afternoon (September 14), when police received multiple reports of people fighting with weapons.
Emergency services rushed to the scene where four people required hospital treatment.
None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
A 35-year-old woman, a 33-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including grievous bodily harm with intent, grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and driving offences. All three have since been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
Two other individuals were also detained at the scene for matters unrelated to the day’s violence.
Detectives say the investigation is ongoing and have urged anyone with information or footage to get in touch.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Enquiries are continuing, and detectives would appeal to anyone who has any information which might assist them to contact 101, quoting reference number 739 14/09/25. We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have mobile, dashcam or other footage.”
