A Lurgan man who shouted at police “I know where your kids live” and “you f****** pig b*******” has been fined £250 for what court has called “obnoxious behaviour”.
Aaron Berben, 19, of Coronation Street, pleaded guilty at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday to one count of disorderly behaviour.
The incident occurred on October 4, last year, at 4.28 am when police were called to Moores Lane, Lurgan, where they spotted two men make off quickly from a phone box.
Both men were later found, one identified as the defendant, and told by police that a search was to be carried out.
Berben then became aggressive towards the officers and swore at them as he made off again.
He was followed to his front doorstep where he continued to shout profanity even after being cautioned by the police.
At this point, the defendant shouted “you f****** pig b*******” and continued to talk as he was once more cautioned.
Following this Berben then told police “I know where your kids live”.
Defence counsel stated that this was “obnoxious behaviour” telling District Judge Bernie Kelly, “I am in your hands”.
Berben was ordered to pay a fine of £250, along with the offender’s levy of £25.
