Hundreds of people turned out for a 10-mile walk/run/half marathon in a rain-drenched Newtownhamilton for the annual Run for Autism event.
The Run for Autism, which is celebrating it’s tenth year, saw people from all corners of the county and beyond brave the elements on a day best suited for the umbrella.
The event began at Newtownhamilton before ending at Lissummon playing fields.
It will also see thousands raised for a worthy local cause.
Run For Autism H.A.N.D. (Helping Autism in Newry and District), is a local charity, formed by a group of parents, family members and friends in 2008.
The specific aim of the organisation is to give a helping HAND to Autistic People and their families in this locality.
Their focus is to raise funds for and awareness of Autism.
First organised in October 2008, the Run/Walk has been growing in strength, and encouraged by its huge success, the people behind it decided to make it an annual event.
