A man has been jailed following a robbery at an Armagh cricket club.
Christopher William Kennedy, 27, of Queen Street, Portadown was sentence to a total of five years at Newry Crown Court on Wednesday afternoon.
The court heard that on November 26, last year, Kennedy robbed an elderly man of a sum of cash at Laurelvale Cricket Club.
He was also charged with carrying two knives.
The judge handed him a custodial term of two years and six months with a further two years and six months on licence to run on his release from prison.
He was also ordered to pay an offenders levy of £15 and had his knives confiscated by police.
The incident at Laurelvale Cricket Club came less than a month after Kennedy was convicted for an assault in Portadown.
His victim suffered a black eye and had two teeth knocked out following the vicious assault in the toilets of a bar in the town.
Kennedy was given 60 hours of community service and ordered him to pay his victim £150 in compensation.
