Commuters are facing major delays and disruptions to their journeys this morning as the Portadown to Lisburn trainline has been suspended.
Translink have also advised passengers that there will be no bus substitution in place and that they should make their own alternative arrangements for travel.
The train operator had earlier notified passengers that a bus replacement service would be made available, however, that is no longer the case.
A Translink spokesperson said: “Due to an operating incident between Lisburn and Portadown the line is closed.
“Train services through these stations may be subject to disruption on all routes. Disruption is expected until further notice.
“Rail tickets will be honoured on Portadown to Lisburn services where possible and where space permits
rail passengers from Portadown/Lurgan/Moira are advised to make alternatives arrangements.”

Updating on social media, a spokesperson added: “Passengers are advised to make alternative arrangements if travelling to work or school this morning due to line closure between Lisburn and Portadown. A bus substitution can not be provided at this time.”
The company gave no reason for the lack of bus replacement services.
Anyone who arrived in Portadown had to take the bus, which naturally fills up faster so check the times and prepare to work around the disruption is my advice! https://t.co/KLqmsQ3vxj
