ARMAGH City will be hoping to give the students of Queen’s University a footballing lesson today (Saturday).
But they know it will not be easy, after narrowly sneaking a 2-1 win in the team’s last Championship Two clash at Holm Park on September 1 last.
Queen’s led for most of that match, with City only hitting form in the final quarter and coming from behind to secure the three points.
City should travel to Belfast in positive and confident mood. If not, then it will be a real test of the local team’s character and sense of purpose.
Queen’s, however, have proved very resilient this season and have pulled off several superb league displays and are sitting comfortably in a mid-table position. In fact, when they last met Armagh both sides were protecting unbeaten starts to their championship campaigns.
As the season draws to a close, every team is fighting to improve their position and, once again, this should be a very hard fought encounter between two proud sides.
The Queen’s v Armagh City match kicks-off at the University Grounds in Belfast thia afternoon at 3pm.
Elsewhere, Loughgall will travel to Larne in their Belfast Telegraph Championship match today.
Loughgall have only won one out of their last four league games and were dumped out of the Mid-Ulster Cup by Lurgan Celtic four weeks ago.
There was a return to form with a win on Easter Tuesday but there is everything to play for today at Larne, where the match also kicks off at 3pm.
Lurgan Celtic are also in league action when they host Moyola Park (3pm).
