Ronnie McFall has promised to bring a strong side to the local derby clash, which takes place on Tuesday, November 5, at 7.45pm.
The game will be one of the highlights to an evening which marks the completion of the £425,000 project, supported by Sport NI and Armagh City and District Council.
Before the match a VIP reception will be staged in the clubrooms where all intertested parties, including sponsors, will be entertained.
Although competitive matches have already been played at the new complex, this is the first opportunity the Holm Park club have had to celebrate the opening officially.
Commented Armagh City FC chairman Philip Johnston, “We are naturally delighted to have reached this stage of development and are delighted that our Premiership neighbours have agreed to take part in the festivities.
“The new pitch is already a success and a number of local clubs and organisations – representing all age groups – use the complex on a regular basis.
“We are hoping a large crowd attends the match and enjoys what should be attractive football from both teams.
“Our players are eager to pit their wits against senior opposition and, as current Belfast Telegraph Championship Two leaders, hope to be competitive,” he concluded.
Further details of this historic pitch opening will be released shortly.
