A man has been charged following a stabbing incident in Dungannon town centre on Saturday afternoon.
The 29-year-old man faces charges of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offences.
It follows the report a male suffering a stab wound to his right arm during an altercation in Dungannon.
The incident happened in the Scotch Street area of the town around 4.30pm.
The arrest comes days after a man aged in his 40s has been arrested following a stabbing incident at a sports ground in the Convent Road area of Cookstown on Thursday evening.
Inspector Knipe said: “We have arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and he remains in custody at this time.
“Our enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time the incident took place or who may have captured mobile footage to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1296 08/07/23.”
Sinn Féin MLA Colm Gildernew has appealed to the public to assist the police investigation.
Mr Gildernew said: “These attacks have a severely damaging impact on our local community and must stop immediately.
“Anyone with information about this stabbing should bring it forward to the police immediately.”
As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service with the man due to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, July 10.
