The nine-year-old boy who died in a hit and run collision has been named locally.
He was Ronan Wilson.
The child, a son of Dean and Emma Wilson, from Cookstown, died after being struck by a vehicle at around 9.20pm on Saturday night.
The tragedy happened at Bundoran and has sent shockwaves across the local community.

Gardai meanwhile are appealing for the driver, who fled the scene, to hand themselves in.
Emergency services had raced to the scene of the County Donegal collision but little Ronan, who was a pupil of St Mary’s Primary School, Dunamore, was pronounced dead.
Ronan has been described by friends and those associated with his local GAA club as a “a bubbly wee boy” who “always had a smile on his face” and who was “football mad”.
He was taken to the mortuary at Sligo Hospital after the collision where a post mortem was due to be carried out.
The Wilson family have strong links with the local GAA community, and the Kildress Wolfe Tones Club, where Ronan played for the U10s. His oldest brother and sister also play for the Kildress side at underage level.
The club had cancelled an Intermediate Championship fixture today (Sunday) against Moy Tir na nOg GAC but called the game off after the tragedy.
Clubs across County Tyrone and beyond have been offering their condolences.
Cookstown Fr Rocks sent its “deepest thoughts and sympathises to our neighbouring club Kildress Wolfe Tones and the family impacted by the terrible tragedy in Donegal last night”.
And Coalisland Fianna GLC said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Kildress Wolfe Tones club at this very difficult and tragic time.”
Edendork GFC offered “sympathies and support at this sad time”, while Dungannon Thomas Clarke GFC added: “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone at Kildress Wolfe Tones and the family impacted by last night’s terrible tragedy.”
Kileeshill GFC offered “deepest sympathies” and said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Kildress Wolfe Tones club and families at this difficult time.”
